MorphOS is an independent Amiga-compatible operating system for PowerPC hardware. Started in 2000, it offers a modern Amiga-like interface (Ambient desktop), 68k emulation (Trance JIT compiler), native PowerPC code, USB support, network stack, OpenGL, and modern web browsers (Odyssey/Wayfarer, based on WebKit). MorphOS runs on Mac Mini G4, PowerBook G4, Efika, Pegasos II, and AmigaOne X5000. The community is active with regular updates. Currently version 3.x.
