RTG

RTG (Retargetable Graphics) is an Amiga graphics subsystem that allows applications to use graphics cards instead of the native custom chips, enabling higher resolutions and color depths. Standards like Picasso96 and CyberGraphX provide APIs that abstract hardware differences, allowing software to render to modern video cards via PCI or Zorro bus expansions. RTG liberated Amiga graphics from the limitations of OCS/ECS/AGA chipsets, supporting truecolor displays and hardware acceleration.
