PPC

PPC (PowerPC) refers to the RISC processor architecture used in high-end Amiga accelerator cards such as the Phase5 CyberStorm PPC and BlizzardPPC. These expansion cards typically featured a PowerPC 603e or 604e CPU alongside a 68k processor, enabling the system to execute both legacy 68k code and PowerPC-native software through libraries like WarpOS or PowerUp. The PowerPC processors delivered substantially higher computational performance than the original Motorola 68000 series, serving as the foundation for later AmigaOS 4 compatible hardware.
