PC-Task

PC-Task was a software-based PC emulator for Amiga computers that allowed users to run MS-DOS applications without additional hardware. It emulated x86 processors such as the 8088/8086 and later 80286/80386, translating Intel instructions to run on the Amiga's Motorola 68000 series CPU. Unlike hardware solutions like the Bridgeboard, PC-Task used pure software emulation, making it slower but more accessible for users who needed occasional PC compatibility. The program emulated PC graphics standards including CGA and EGA, displaying them in Amiga windows or screens.
