Mount

In AmigaOS, "Mount" refers to the process of making a device or file system accessible to the operating system, typically executed via the Mount command which reads configuration parameters from the DEVS:Mountlist file. Unlike automatic mounting of boot devices, this manual mounting mechanism allows users to activate non-autoboot devices such as removable drives, network shares, or virtual devices without requiring a system reboot. The Mountlist contains entries specifying device drivers, stack sizes, block sizes, and other parameters necessary for the file system handler to communicate with the physical or logical device.
