LHA
LHA is a file compression and archiving format that became the de facto standard on the Amiga platform, particularly for software distribution via Aminet. Based on the Lempel-Ziv-Huffman algorithm, it offers efficient compression while maintaining reasonable decompression speeds on modest hardware. The format was widely adopted because it was free to use and supported by virtually all Amiga archiving utilities.
