Intuition Library
The Intuition Library is the foundational GUI subsystem of AmigaOS, providing the application programming interface for creating and managing windows, screens, and user interface elements called "gadgets." Introduced with the original Amiga in 1985, it enabled sophisticated features like overlapping windows, resizable screens with different color depths running simultaneously, and event-driven input handling. As part of the Amiga's ROM-resident Kickstart firmware, intuition.library communicates with graphics.library and layers.library to render the graphical user interface, forming the basis for the Amiga's advanced multitasking environment.
