Flicker Fixer

A Flicker Fixer is a hardware device or circuit that eliminates the annoying flickering in Amiga interlaced display modes by doubling the refresh rate, effectively functioning as a scan doubler and deinterlacer. It buffers alternating video fields and outputs them at 50 or 60 Hz progressive scan instead of the original 25 or 30 Hz interlaced signal, making high-resolution Workbench screens comfortable to view on standard monitors. This technology was implemented as standalone external boxes, internal scan converters, or integrated into advanced graphics cards for Amiga systems.
