68030

The Motorola 68030 is a 32-bit microprocessor that served as the CPU in high-end Amiga models like the A3000 and A4000, as well as in numerous accelerator cards for expandable models. It features an integrated Memory Management Unit (MMU) enabling virtual memory and advanced memory protection, alongside separate 256-byte data and instruction caches. Operating at speeds from 25 MHz to 50 MHz, it provided significant performance improvements over earlier 68000 family processors and supported 32-bit addressing.
